Build a trip to Xiamen
Xiamen University is a functioning academic campus known for landscaped grounds, historic buildings and a setting between hills and the coast. Its architecture and educational history attract visitors, but admission is governed by registration, security and university schedules that can change without regard to tourism demand. No itinerary should promise unrestricted access or encourage entry through unofficial channels. When public visits are available, travelers should follow the designated route, avoid teaching and residential areas, and treat the campus as an active institution rather than an open scenic park. Founded through the support of Tan Kah Kee, the university became an important symbol of overseas Chinese philanthropy and modern education in Fujian. Historic buildings combine regional roofs, arcades and modern institutional plans within a landscaped coastal campus. The setting between Nanputuo Temple, hills and sea gives the university an architectural identity closely tied to Xiamen itself.
