The design blends contemporary Italian style with classical architecture. The sensory experience is defined by the scent of jasmine in the garden and the chic, cosmopolitan vibe of the Stravinskij Bar. Expert recommendation: the Sunday brunch in the garden is one of Rome's most coveted social events. Piazza del Popolo
This grand neoclassical square served as the northern gateway to Rome for centuries. In its center stands an Egyptian obelisk of Ramesses II, flanked by symmetrical fountains and the 'Twin Churches' (Santa Maria dei Miracoli and Santa Maria in Montesanto). The atmosphere is open and airy, often hosting public events. Expert recommendation: step inside the Basilica of Santa Maria del Popolo to see two masterpieces by Caravaggio in the Cerasi Chapel. Pro tip: climb the stairs on the eastern side of the square leading up to the Pincio Hill just before sunset for a panoramic view of the city’s domes silhouetted against the sky.
Hostaria Da Pietro
A family-run sanctuary located just off the chaotic Via del Corso, Da Pietro offers a warm, white-tablecloth experience without being pretentious. The walls are covered in photos of famous past guests, and the service is old-school professional. It’s a favorite for Roman families who want consistent, high-quality traditional dishes. Expert recommendation: the 'Fettuccine with Artichokes and Guanciale' is seasonal and superb. Pro tip: it’s a great 'escape' when shopping near Piazza del Popolo. While it feels upscale, the prices are very fair for the quality and location. Booking is recommended for dinner.

Ara Pacis Museum
This museum, designed by Richard Meier, houses the 'Altar of Augustan Peace,' a stunningly detailed sacrificial altar commissioned by the Roman Senate in 13 BC to honor Augustus's return. The ultra-modern glass and travertine building protects the white marble reliefs from pollution. The sensory experience is one of brilliant light and clinical precision. Expert recommendation: look for the reliefs of the Imperial family; they are considered some of the finest examples of Roman portraiture. Pro tip: check for evening events or digital light projections (Ara Com’era) that bring the original colors of the altar to life through augmented reality. The museum is located right next to the Mausoleum of Augustus.
Rome Vespa Tour
Exploring Rome on the back of an authentic Piaggio Vespa with an expert local driver guide is the most cinematic way to discover the Eternal City, replicating the Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck route of Roman Holiday through a series of iconic locations—the Mouth of Truth, the Circus Maximus, the Palatine Hill, and the via Appia Antica lined with ancient pine trees and Roman aqueduct arches stretching to the horizon. The Vespa's maneuverability through Rome's narrow medieval streets and historic neighborhoods allows access to piazzas, fountains, and viewpoints that tourist buses never reach, creating an intimate encounter with the living city between its monuments. Evening tours as the sunset light turns the Forum's stones golden and the streets fill with the passeggiata provide a particularly romantic experience.
