Bob Bob Ricard City
Build a trip to London
About
The sleek, futuristic sibling to the Soho original, Bob Bob Ricard City is designed to look like a luxury yacht or a first-class train carriage from the future. The interior is a sensory feast of steel, leather, and mirror-polished wood. It is famous for its 'Press for Champagne' button at every table, which actually works. Expert recommendations: The 'Beef Wellington' (for two) is a masterclass in pastry, and the 'Degustation of Three Vodkas' served at -18°C is the perfect palate cleanser. Pro tip: The dress code is 'elegant'—gentlemen are required to wear a collared shirt. While it is unashamedly expensive, the 'off-peak' pricing (lunch and mid-afternoon sittings) offers a significantly more affordable way to experience this level of opulence.
Highlights
- Press for Champagne button

Duck & Waffle
Perched on the 40th floor of the Salesforce Tower, Duck & Waffle is the highest 24-hour restaurant in London. The high-speed glass elevator ride to the top provides a thrilling sensory start to the meal. The interior is playfully decorated with graffiti-style art and floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of the Gherkin and Tower Bridge. Expert recommendations: The signature 'Duck & Waffle' (crispy leg confit, fried duck egg, and mustard maple syrup) is a genius combination of sweet and savory. Pro tip: The best value and most magical atmosphere can be found at 4:00 AM for a 'sunrise breakfast.' Reservations for peak times (brunch and dinner) must be made weeks in advance, but they do accept late-night walk-ins for drinks and snacks.
Leadenhall Market
Leadenhall Market is a stunning example of Victorian architecture, featuring a grand ornate roof painted in rich maroons and golds and cobbled walkways. Originally a meat and poultry market in the 14th century, the current structure was designed in 1881. Fans of Harry Potter will recognize it as the location for Diagon Alley in the first film. The atmosphere is vibrant, especially on weekday evenings when City workers gather for post-work drinks. Expert recommendations: Visit during the day to appreciate the architectural details, then stay for a drink at 'The Lamb Tavern.' Pro tip: As it serves the financial district, the market is very quiet on weekends, with many shops and bars closed. Visit on a Thursday or Friday to experience the true 'City' energy.
Sky Garden
Located at the top of the 'Walkie Talkie' building, Sky Garden is London's highest public garden. This lush, landscaped space offers spectacular views of the Gherkin, the Shard, and the Thames, all while surrounded by Mediterranean and South African plant species. The contrast between the sleek glass architecture and the vibrant greenery creates a unique, tranquil atmosphere. Expert recommendations: The best time to visit is early morning for a sunrise breakfast at the Darwin Brasserie. Pro tip: Access is free, but tickets are released three weeks in advance and disappear within minutes; you must be ready to book on their website immediately upon release. If you can’t get a free ticket, booking a table at one of the onsite bars or restaurants guarantees entry. Dress code is 'smart casual' after 6 PM.

HMS Belfast
Permanently moored on the Thames, HMS Belfast is a Light Cruiser that served during WWII and the Korean War. This 'floating museum' allows visitors to explore all nine decks, from the engine rooms deep below the waterline to the Admiral’s bridge. The sensory experience is visceral: the smell of diesel, the cramped sailors' bunks, and the steep 'ladders' give a real sense of life at sea. Expert recommendations: Head to the top deck for a unique vantage point of the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Pro tip: Wear sturdy shoes as the ladders are steep and the floors can be slippery. It’s a great attraction for history buffs and children, but those with mobility issues may find the lower decks difficult to access.
