CCCB (Contemporary Culture Centre)
Located right next to the MACBA, the CCCB is a multidisciplinary arts center that explores urban culture and contemporary society. It is housed in a former almshouse where a modern glass wing has been seamlessly integrated, reflecting the city's skyline in its facade. The center hosts film festivals, debates, and massive thematic exhibitions like 'World Press Photo.' Expert recommendation: head to the top floor of the glass building (the Mirador) for an incredible hidden view of the Raval rooftops and the sea. Pro tip: the CCCB is less about 'permanent collections' and more about events; always check their website for current workshops or pop-up festivals before visiting.

MACBA (Contemporary Art Museum)
The Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona is housed in a strikingly white, minimalist building designed by Richard Meier. It stands in stark contrast to the surrounding medieval Raval district. The museum focuses on art from the second half of the 20th century onwards, with rotating exhibitions that often tackle social and political themes. The plaza outside is a sensory hub of urban culture, famous worldwide as a mecca for skateboarders. Expert recommendation: the architecture itself is the star; observe how the light interacts with the ramps and glass walls inside. Pro tip: Saturday evenings (typically after 4:00 PM) often offer free entry, but check the current schedule on their website.

Ciudad Condal
Located just off Plaça de Catalunya, Ciudad Condal is a sister restaurant to Cervecería Catalana and shares its reputation for high-quality, high-volume tapas. The atmosphere is upscale yet frenetic, with a beautiful wooden bar and an extensive outdoor terrace on the leafy Rambla de Catalunya. The sight of the daily specials listed on chalkboards adds to the authentic gastropub feel. Expert recommendation: the 'Solomillo con Foie' (beef tenderloin with foie gras) is a legendary bite here. Pro tip: if the wait for a table is too long, try to hover near the bar; seating there is first-come, first-served and usually moves faster than the dining room tables.
Honest Greens (Rambla Catalunya)
Honest Greens has taken Barcelona by storm with its 'real food' philosophy, offering healthy, seasonal, and unprocessed meals in a stunningly designed, plant-filled space. The concept is fast-casual but high-quality. The sensory experience is a vibrant mix of colorful salads, wood-fired proteins, and artisan sourdough bread. Expert recommendation: the 'Market Plate' where you choose a protein (like charred tuna or ginger-honey chicken) and a side is the best way to sample their menu. Pro tip: the line can look long at peak times, but it moves very efficiently. It is also an excellent place for remote workers as they have plenty of seating and great coffee.
