Build a trip to Singapore
About
Din Tai Fung is a global phenomenon from Taiwan, world-renowned for its 'Xiao Long Bao' (soup dumplings). The Marina Bay Sands branch features a large glass-walled kitchen where you can watch the chefs meticulously hand-fold each dumpling with exactly 18 pleats. The sensory experience is defined by the burst of hot, savory soup from the delicate dumplings and the efficient, high-standard service. Experts recommend the 'Truffle and Pork Xiao Long Bao' for a luxurious twist. Practical pro tip: It is a massive restaurant but always has a queue; take a number and you can browse the nearby shops while waiting for your SMS notification. It is one of the most reliable and family-friendly dining options within the Shoppes at MBS.

ArtScience Museum
Known as 'The Welcoming Hand of Singapore,' this lotus-inspired museum is where art meets science and technology. Historically, it has hosted blockbuster exhibitions ranging from Leonardo da Vinci to Salvador Dali. The permanent exhibition, 'Future World,' is a sensory masterpiece of digital interactive installations created by TeamLab. The experience is tactile and visually stunning—visitors can draw fish that 'swim' onto digital walls or walk through a crystal universe of light. Experts recommend booking 'Future World' tickets well in advance as time slots sell out quickly. Pro tip: Visit on a Monday if you have children, as the museum often offers 'Family Friday' deals (check their current promos). The rooftop of the building also functions as a giant rainwater harvester, which is visible in the central pond of the museum.
CÉ LA VI (MBS)
CÉ LA VI is the premier rooftop destination in Singapore, perched on the 57th floor of Marina Bay Sands. Historically, it has become the face of Singapore’s luxury nightlife. The sensory experience is high-glamour—thumping house music, the wind at 200 meters high, and a 360-degree view that includes the world-famous infinity pool (separated by a barrier). The menu features modern Asian fusion and world-class cocktails. Experts recommend the 'SkyBar' for a drink during the 8 PM light show. Practical pro tip: There is a cover charge for the SkyBar which usually includes a drink voucher; ensure you check the dress code as it is strictly enforced (no swimwear, even though you are next to the pool). It is the best place to feel like a 'Crazy Rich Asian' for an evening.
Helix Bridge
The Helix Bridge is a 280-meter pedestrian link featuring a unique double-helix structure inspired by the geometric form of DNA. Historically, it is the first of its kind in the world, symbolizing 'life and continuity.' The sensory experience is futuristic, especially at night when the bridge is lit with colored LEDs that highlight the intricate steel curves. The five viewing pods along the bridge offer spectacular, unobstructed views of the Marina Bay Sands and the skyline. Experts recommend walking across at night for the best visual experience. Pro tip: Look for the small 'c' and 'g' (cytosine and guanine) letters on the bridge that light up in red and green at night—part of the DNA-themed design detail that most tourists miss.
Palm Beach Seafood
With a heritage dating back to 1956, Palm Beach is often credited as one of the original creators of the Chilli Crab recipe. Situated at One Fullerton, the restaurant provides a sophisticated dining atmosphere with a direct, stunning view of the Merlion and the Marina Bay Sands. The sensory experience is upscale—refined service, high-quality seafood, and a vibrant waterfront backdrop. Their 'Black Pepper Crab' and 'Honey Tangy Barramundi' are equally legendary. Experts recommend booking a terrace table for the 8 PM or 9 PM laser light show over the bay. Practical pro tip: While pricier than East Coast outlets, the prime location and historical significance make it a top choice for business dinners or special romantic occasions.
