Build a trip to Chengdu
Sansheng Flower Village is a large suburban landscape southeast of Chengdu developed from communities specializing in flowers, nurseries and market gardening. Fields, ponds, farm restaurants and themed areas transform agricultural production into a leisure environment associated with seasonal blossom and rural recreation. The district does not form one enclosed garden; its identity comes from multiple villages and cultivated zones spread across a changing urban fringe. The area illustrates Chengdu’s “leisure agriculture” model, in which farmers, tourism businesses and landscape projects combine production with dining, events and weekend culture. Plum, lotus and other seasonal plantings give different sectors distinct visual identities. As the city expands around it, Sansheng preserves a constructed image of pastoral Chengdu while also revealing how rural land and livelihoods are reorganized by metropolitan demand.
